1. Payment is expected when services are rendered. In order to focus on our patients' needs, customer service and minimizing costs, we do not bill.
2. We accept debit cards, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express), checks, and cash. All cards must be signed by the owner of the card.
3. When unexpected illness strikes a pet, unexpected expense strikes as well. Lake Mills Veterinary Clinic understands this and is able to make some special arrangements through the CareCredit program. It takes just 5 minutes to complete an application and will allow you to break down your payment into 6 monthly installments. You can either apply at our hospital, where we'll call in your application over the phone for immediate approval, or apply yourself online at: www.CareCredit.com.
Highlights of the CareCredit program:
- Low Monthly Payments (3% of the Total Balance)
- Interest Free For 6 Months

Financial assistance through grant programs and nonprofits
There are a variety of state and federal programs that help with veterinary expenses. They all have different qualification criteria, but with some diligence, you may be able to get funding to help pay for some or all of your veterinary care.
These programs are independent from the clinic, so we don't have any specific guidance for you. We encourage you to explore the information on the websites listed below, and reach out directly to the organization for more information, or to apply.

- The Pet Fund: the primary focus is on the care category of non-basic, non-emergency care. For example, we work on cancer treatment, heart disease, endocrine disorders, kidney disease, cataract surgery, and chronic conditions. (https://www.thepetfund.com/)

- Friends of Noah: Noah's Animal Fund: The goal is to provide assistance for an animal in a crisis that otherwise would not receive care. There must be a reasonable expectation of success and the intervention should enhance the bond between people and animals. Pet owners who live in the Wisconsin counties of Rock, Jefferson, Green, and Walworth can apply for financial assistance to the Noah’s Animal Fund Committee on behalf of an animal in need.
