Deanna Clark, DVM, CCRT

Meet the friendly staff at Lake Mills Veterinary Clinic!

Deanna Clark, DVM, CCRT

Dr. Clark is moving to Ohio. Her last day at LMVC will be May 7, 2018.

Dr. Clark (known to most of our clients as Dr. Deanna) graduated from the UW-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. She grew up on a small dairy farm in Northern Wisconsin and started out of veterinary school as a bovine-only practitioner.

She soon realized how much she missed working with dogs, cats and their people and found a job as a mixed-animal practitioner with the Lake Mills Veterinary Clinic. As her career has evolved she has left the countryside and is now focused solely on dogs and cats. Her love of veterinary medicine incorporates many facets of wellness, but she truly celebrates the human-animal bond and enjoys helping our pets be as healthy in mind, body and spirit and as much a part of our lives as possible. She enjoys the team approach and behavioral focus at Lake Mills Veterinary Clinic, truly offering the best of wellness care. Her preventative medicine and care for acute and chronic conditions involves the combination of traditional and alternative therapies when indicated or sought after. One of her true passions combines her own love of sports-medicine with canines, and she is now a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist through the Canine Rehabilitation Institute (www.caninerehabinstitute.com.) This involves early injury diagnosis, detection, prevention and treatment similar to physical therapy in people. Rehabilitation Therapy gave one of her own companions, Sadie, a much better quality and quantity of life when traditional therapies were failing. She gladly uses and continues to build her knowledge to keep her three skijor (www.skijornow.com)dogs healthy. She looks forward to sharing and teaching clients this information so that they can keep their four-legged athletes healthy. From the backyard fetcher to the competitive field trial dog, they are all athletes on some level! In her free time she enjoys backpacking, running, biking, skijoring and the occasional night in with “people” friends and her three cats!
